EXTENDED HEALTH PACKAGES- REIKI NOW INCLUDED

There are insurance companies in Canada who are offering a paid benefit for Reiki Treatments.

The Canadian Reiki Association, of whom I am a member, has provided all members with a professional form clients can use to submit their claim.

If you are not sure if your provider will accept the claim, the Canadian Reiki Association is asking the Practitioners to continue to encourage clients to submit the claims.  "Rejected claims will only bring awareness to the insurance industry.  It is our intention that this form of awareness will help to shift the insurance industry to include Reiki in all Extended Health Care packages."  Bonnie Smith, President, Canadian Reiki Association.

If you have successfully submitted a claim to your Group Health Care provider, please email me at earthlightenergies@cogeco.ca so I can share the companies who have approved the claim.

Love and all good things!

Appointments can be anywhere from 20 minutes to one hour with 15 minutes between clients.  Once you have confirmed your appointment, I will provide you with directions if this is the first time to my centre.

If this is your first Reiki treatment, I recommend you take a look at the tabs "About Reiki" and "What to Expect".

(Note: during the week, calls will be returned between 12-1:00 pm EST or after 4:30 pm EST.)

REIKI COURSES:
I will be working over the next few weeks on a course schedule for May 2014. If you would like to book a private class or have a small group of friends who would like to take the first level of Reiki, feel free to contact me to discuss a weekend date.

GROUP EVENTS:
If you have a group event or Girls Night coming up, and you would like to provide mini treatments to your guests, contact me for more information and group rates.

DOWNTOWN KINGSTON LOCATION:
I am currently negotiating for use of space in a downtown Kingston location. If we come to a successful agreement, I will be offering treatments at the Centre on Wednesday evenings.  This will make it easier for clients who are working downtown.  I will be posting details next week.

REIKI SHARES:
If you have at least Level I Reiki, I would like to invite you to Reiki shares at my Centre on alternate Sundays.  Please contact me for dates and times.  I would love to meet you and introduce you to my Reiki colleagues.

"Just for today, I will be grateful for all my blessings."

Love and Light!

Continuing Education and the Healing Arts

I think it is easy to dismiss the healing arts/modalities as not being a professional career.  I often laugh and say I finally achieved my Masters education!  The Universe always gives you what you want, but maybe not in the way you expect it!

I have eagerly read my Spring 2014 Reiki News Magazine from cover to cover. (see below for information).  One could say, well, really, how much more can there be said about Reiki?

You should hit yourself in the forehead if that thought comes to your mind!

As we all evolve, our learning and understanding reaches new levels- which leads to yet another level of learning and understanding.  With the risk of sounding like the latest buzzword user, Reiki is enlightenment.  Enlightenment is never static.  It is not narrow minded, it is open and vast.  I loved Laurelle Shanit Gaia's article "How to Gain Confidence in Your Relationship with Reiki". It gave me an attitude adjustment- the logical, earthy, physical thinking part of me needed to be reminded how Reiki really works and my part in it.  Thank You Laurelle!

Reading William Rand's interview with Hiroshi Doi and "Reiki Before Usui" article, gave me a solid reminder of the importance of continuing my education in Reiki from a professional perspective.  The interview reveals certain historical facts about Usui; about the development of Reiki so long believed to be true which are not. It is not about debunking Reiki, rather, the article clarifies and provides new revelations.  Credibility and reputation are essential to any business which is enhanced by keeping current on the latest facts and developments. The International Centre for Reiki Training, in my opinion, has worked extremely hard to develop Reiki and Reiki Practitioners in a credible and reputable manner.  As a teacher, I will now be updating my courses with the new information.

The beauty of Reiki is you can make use of its beautiful energy however you wish.  You may want to be opened up to Reiki just for your own pampering.  However, for all practitioners and teachers, who have not thought of "continuing education" in the traditional sense, I say go boldly and actively engage!

You can subscribe to the Reiki News Magazine via Vision Publications/International Centre for Reiki Training http://www.reikiwebstore.com/SearchResult.cfm?CategoryID=10

Just for today, be happy!
